With 175 turbines, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, the London Array is now online. Situated in an estuary of the Thames River, it is designed to power an area spanning from Essex to Margate, or about 750,000 homes. According to the video below, London uses as much power as the country of Greece. Thus the new wind farm will help one of Europe’s largest cities meet its demand for more energy while also helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
