Deloitte’s U.S. headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York has been awarded the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification at the Gold level for commercial interiors.
Deloitte moved into the 80-year old building in August 2012 with a commitment to transform it into a “next generation” workplace. The newly renovated space includes benefits such as lower operating costs and a reduced carbon footprint.
“The certification of 30 Rockefeller Plaza further highlights our ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility through the implementation of environmentally sound design elements, delivered in a building never designed with such sustainability in mind,” said Mary Ellen Rodgers, national managing partner, Workplace Services, Deloitte LLP.
With the addition of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Deloitte now has a total of 16 LEED-certified offices, encompassing 1.8 million square feet of real estate.
